Dr Hussain is a Consultant Rheumatologist & General Physician and has been in practice for 14 years. He used his initial substantive NHS post to establish his vibrant rheumatology and general medicine practice within the independent sector and has successfully transitioned fully into the private sector with completion of appraisal and revalidation. His area of interests are in bone metabolism in particular which led to his postgraduate doctorate, and a spectrum of interests within rheumatology and general medicine. He has established his practice with great emphasis on communication and technology, providing a reflective, evidence-based, experienced management of patients with complex rheumatology problems.

His commitments towards rheumatology and general medicine specialty has enabled him to develop expertise across a spectrum of complex conditions including musculoskeletal medicine, inflammatory joint disease and rheumatoid, connective tissue disease and lupus, psoriasis related arthritis, spondyloarthropathy and ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, soft tissue disorders such as tennis elbow, golfer elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, vasculitis, gout conditions. General medicine practice includes management of hypertension and general medical illnesses.

His commitment to learning, teaching and training is exemplified by his role as an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians enjoying both national and international clinical examination settings and paper publications. He's also an accredited appraiser for consultant colleagues within the private sector. Dr Hussain practices from a number of hospitals both in the North West and the London area, enjoying more recent practices commencing at the HCA London Bridge Hospital / The Shard.
