About
Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant, Mr Fahad Attar, specialises in lower limb arthroplasty and knee reconstruction. He has particular expertise in the management of anterior knee pain and patellar instability, cartilage injuries, arthritis in young patients. Each year he carries out approximately 100 hip replacements, 150 knee replacements, and 200 knee arthroscopies.
Mr Attar completed his Trauma & Orthopaedics Registrar training rotation at the East Midlands Deanery after receiving his medical degree from the University of Liverpool. After finishing his fellowship training, he gained further experience in lower limb arthroplasty and knee reconstruction surgery at world-renowned institutions.
Mr Attar is active in clinical research and has several peer-reviewed papers to his credit. He has also written and co-edited an FRCS orthopaedics MCQ book for trainees. In addition, he is an examiner and tutor for medical students at the Liverpool University Medical School in Canada.
