About

Mr. Adrian Wilson is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and a well-established pioneer in the field of knee surgery. He first graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Biochemistry from Manchester University and continued with his medical studies at St Bartholomew's Medical School, from where he graduated in 1994. He joined the North West Thames Orthopaedic Training in 1999 and during this time he was privileged to receive focused knee training by some of London's leading knee surgeons. In addition, he completed a 12-month fellowship in knee surgery at the most renowned Brisbane Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Centre in Australia.

Having gained this specialist knowledge, he was appointed several prestigious posts including Clinical Lead for Knee Surgery at the North Hampshire Hospital. He offers a wide range of services related to soft tissue and reconstructive knee surgery. Mr. Wilson has a key role in the development of new surgical techniques regarding ACL and osteotomy surgery and he is currently working with Anthrex, a leader in product development. Explanation

Adrian was very patient and forthcoming with answers to my numerous questions, which I appreciated greatly. He gave me a lot of time and we thoroughly discussed my treatment options. Improvement tweaks could be, - not to raise how much BUPA pay consultants vs what they can charge privately. I left feeling slightly concerned that he may not be as motivated to give me the best of his attention or abilities, if he wasn't being paid properly for his time. - have a MRI scan easily available of a healthy knee, to assist with showing the injuries present in a patient's scan

Having recently had both shoulders replaced I wasn't too keen on another operation for my knee but it turns out I had nothing to worry about with Professor Wilson and Dr Kley - they advised me what was wrong and why/how it needed to be addressed and that's exactly what they did - all as outlined and described with complete professionalism. At no time did I feel concerned with the procedure, hospital time or the recovery - which has gone extremely well. I hope I don't need my other knee done, but if I do, I won't be going anywhere else - 10/10

Explanation

Professor Wilson recently operated on my broken knee cap - I required 2 surgeries; an irrigation and then the fixation. He explained the surgeries in detail as well as the followup care requirements in a simple manner and answered all my questions in detail. I have been training for a sports event - he was realistic with me in terms of the recovery and the limitations of my knee as it heals, but provided support and advice with regard to the rehabbing prior to the event. Thank you.

Professor Adrian Wilson, whom I am privileged to call my friend, is an excellent Orthopaedic Consultant. His clinical knowledge and patient care are second to none. I often collaborate with Professor Wilson on many shared medical cases as well as projects. He is my first recommendation for patient referral when a specialist surgical opinion on joints is required. I know that I can trust him as we share the same values for patient care. He leads the way with a “cutting edge” approach to latest up to date techniques. Dr Ralph Rogers MD PhD MBA Consultant Regenerative Orthopaedics Interventionalist & Sports Medicine CEO RRMG
